PPE Guideline updated with 3rd tier

The PPE Section of our COVID-19 ED Assessment & Management Guideline has been updated to include the “3 Tier approach” to PPE.

A 3rd Tier of additional PPE for the “highest risk” Aerosol Generating Procedures (AGPs) such as emergency intubation has been discussed with reference to this recently published excellent article by Lockhart et al 2020 recommending and clarifying a minimum standard for the 3rd tier.
